DIGGING FOR TREASURE

One of the reason why I engaged myself to thrift shopping is that it never fails to put a smile on my face. Even if it sucks up all the energy I have saved trying my luck to unearth a captivating and exquisite treasures hidden under a mountain or racks of second hand clothes, I will still never get tired digging.

BURST OF ORANGE

Finding a tailored fit top is actually my frustration every time I go shopping either in a thrift or traditional clothing shops. So when my eyes stumbled on this orange top that is up for sale in a local mall shop, I swiped my ever reliable plastic card and brought home a citrus filled paper bag.

FRINGE

I find fabric fringe necklace unflattering. But when I need to cover the low neckline of my dress because I don't have any to flaunt with, this unflattering piece came to the rescue. Well, they do look good with the right combination. As what I always say, first impression never last at all.

DREAM CLOSET

My closet is in a pandemonium state right now - struggling for a breathing space it enjoys once in a while. Seeing all these things inside my closet felt like everything is in chaos. I see clothes fell on the floor, pleading for its freedom from airless space. Hoarding too much clothes at a minimal space become my habit for so many years and its getting worst than I could have imagined. I need a lifetime daily dose of organizing pills

I get inspired searching for a walk-in closet.I imagined myself looking through the freshly painted room with the much needed space I am longing for. I pulled the quirkiest knob I see -- feeling giddy looking at my clothes, shoes and accessories arranged beautifully.  Sigh. I dream of having them in the near future and share it with my two boys.

I know that organizing things on premium sized space may take a lot of effort and creativity. I am not creative. But I do exert effort. Effort on a daily basis may be enough to keep me and my closet manageable. While there will be a time in my life that I will still go back to the bad habit from time to time, at least, the habit of effort is already in my bloodstream and will take charge of anything messy. Somehow, you may think that I just need a self- discipline and housekeeping skills to be organize.Yeah, I agree. But I need a little boost and remind myself all the time that I don't have any reason to mess around ;)

LEGGINGS

Ladies should take precaution to first look in the mirror before dodging outside the house or you might end up prancing around the street half naked and may become the lone person in this world to activate the God-given supernatural  x-ray vision of the humankind.

As fashion evolves, old time favorites like leggings, re-gain its spot in the limelight as the must-have fashion piece for the season, if not for the year. However, some women might have forgotten that some things never change. Leggings is the same old thing that clings into your body like leech and hugs body curves in perfect precision.

Leggings is meant to  be worn underneath a tunic, dress, skirts or shorts .Although, I have seen a lot of high quality leggings that is thick enough to conceal the private contour like those of high end athletic brands, it is still advisable to HIDE YOUR BUTT, please.

Leggings comes in different colors and textures - plain and printed, leather and synthetic. It can go with any type of clothing like blazers, tunics, cardigan, over-sized tops, shorts, skirts, mini dresses and anything that covers the crotch area.

Leggings is a versatile and comfortable clothing piece. You can wear it almost in all occasion (except off course on event where gown rules) or even at work. With the right combination, you can transform your looks from simple to bombshell, from sporty to preppy, from classic to modern and from lady to rocker chic.

Keep in mind ladies: Don't you dare expose the camel toes.

NOT TOO LOUD

Incorporating solid colors in clashing prints would relieve someone from a painful sore in the eye. Although, invisibility on people's subjective fashion taste is impossible to achieve, at least, you can still make ways on how to pacify the fusion of the screaming print on print statement.

NEVER CHEAT

I can't help myself mused over how my college friends and I hustled to the library to dig for the answers on the leaking philosophy test examination. I was thrilled and swollen with pride doing the "black deed" because I know even if it is an open book, nobody will ever get a perfect score. The semester ended with my own taste of karma, my grade almost fell into the cliff. Children, don't do this at school.

MAXI ON HEELS

There are two basic things that petite women should remember in sporting a maxi skirts. One, if the skirt's length exceeds the ankle, get an instant height by wearing a pair of heels to avoid looking like a walking roll of fabric.Second, wear fitted top on loose skirt and loose top on fitted skirt. Then you can start with a varied look given the two basic tips without the grandma appeal.

CHEETAH

This irregular shaped cheetah printed fabric in my neck is the weirdest piece I got in the thrift store. I am not sure of its actual purpose so I just placed it on the top of my blazer to create an exciting statement piece. I put on my brown mary janes, snatched my officemate's matching cheetah printed bag and hurried upstairs for a last minute outfit shoot.

This photo is the lone survivor in my memory card which was taken after we have took a couple of shots inside the activity room. At least, we got a good photo in a better background :)

I AM ADDICTED TO YOU

When I do thrift shopping,  I am willing to give up everything I have in my hands to settle in one great great GREAT piece: a brand new tailored blazer that fits like a glove. Yes, you are reading it right. BRAND NEW. I believe since it has still the brand tag attached to it. Thrift shopping is undeniably addicting! :0
